Why this Kolaveri?

Things that have annoyed me or maybe I am hyper-sensitive to such things-here goes the list which have managed to raise my tempers a bit here in Chennai

• Why do vehicles chase after an ambulance creating nuisance for other vehicles as well as increasing accident ratio?
• Vehicles refusing to give space for a blaring ambulance in busy roads-possibilty of patient's life getting saved also depends on the time of their heart attack- if its peak hour-their chances are dim
• Uniformed guys choosing to eat food or drink tea in all roadside shops for FREE
• Women riders almost getting a free hand and never being caught by regulators at all
• College buses especially in OMR zipping and zapping flouting all rules making bikers lives dangerous
• Pot holes on all strecthes of road giving bikers the most troubles
• Politicos Scorpios and Innovas flouting every rule but escaping the wrath be it in rule or not
• Human beings involved in sewage cleaning of human sewage though banned by court
• Colleges charging capitation fees in a variety of ways to the tune of lacs
• Schools charging like colleges for their admission
• Admission forms given for kindergarden applications at odd hours and parents made to wait in long queues at untimely hours
• Govt promoting alcohol having opened 6000shops and raking in 17,000 crore every year and increasing the timings of the shops as well
• All Ultra deluxe buses have ultra deluxe only in name, pathetic seats, no TV, etc
• Share autos are 3 wheeled demons,racing with almost 8 people exclusive of the driver in these roads at high speed
• Parking fees in shopping malls, are indicator of prices inside the mall
• Street biking in roads making lives dangerous
• More mani mandapams opened only to encroach space and encouraging social menace-why not a single big one to house all of them-past,present and future
• 4lane roads are 2 lane roads and 6 lane roads 4 lane roads-thanks to encroachments on both sides
• Why do people go star crazy when they are just normal human beings doing there profession-acting?
• Crores of gold donated to temples which could go to feed hunger or eradicate diseases
• Actors ready to endorse everything from coffee to hair oil but refusing to endorse social causesBlaring stereo not just for their own cars but for other guys around-noise pollution
• Why do bloggers try to write everything they can- act as reformers of society :)

How to ride bike in Chennai without getting caught?

The following account is months of painstaking research and notes-not all of them were experienced by me-notably women and bike episodes.

Handy guide for bike riders in Chennai to save their hard earned money to spend in Sathyam Cinemas than some where else:

Not an exhaustive list(though)

• Dont speed up on an empty stretch of road
• Dont raise accelerator in a good stretch of road
• Beware of signal points and zebra crossings
• Always stand one or two lines back of in zebra line
• Travel with an older guy preferably age 50+
• Dont travel with persons equal your age if your age is between 20-35
• All the more dont travel with persons your same age of opposite sex in ECR
• If possible travel with your mom, you would never be caught
• Dont keep left, go right lane, many station themselves in the right side
• Look out for "white" signs 500ms ahead using telescopic vision,slow down deliberately
• Never speed up in a road which you have not traversed for over a week-you would not know danger spots
• Simplest one- wear a helmet-that reduces 75% of being caught
• Travel in car if possible, cars are rarely caught
• Travel alongside public transport MTC buses,they offer cover all time
• Travel alongside share autos, they always get caught-giving you time for distraction
• Never park your vehicle anywhere in road,be in bike all the time-ask the shopkeeper to get tea,tender coconut to bike
• Dont sport your company badge-that doubles up the possibility of fine levy
• Studies prove the possibilty of getting caught exponentially increases when travelling with a girl who sits double side than single side
• Be double cautious on ECR,OMR-those are plum areas of possibilities
• Dont be very slow near speed breakers-alert alert
• Have all the xerox of vehicle papers handy-not under the seat cover, but mostly in tank covers

I am a bike rider for the past 10 months having rided along many stretches in Chennai, no offence to regulators.

KAMAL-Why I love him?

People close to me know that I love Kamal, people closest to me know why I love Kamal, very few know I worship him like God( there is an irony here that kamal being atheist is worshipped as god by me)
I dont rever him as God unlike many mass hero worships-let me state why is he so revered to me?

Finest actor in the country-even people who oppose him for some reasons would attest to that fact that acting and kamal are inseparable, one of the few followers of method acting in India, gives his life to the role.Be it sappani in 16 vayadinile or Kameswaran in MMKR-the variety of roles he has done and the histrionics is just amazing.Few in their prime acting career would sport a "komanam" in a movie and act as lead hero-he did so for the role.Acted in a movie with no songs-Kurudi Punal.Really acted in a movie with no dialogues-but everyone felt the movie because of his acting-Pesum Padam.Only guy to beat him to second place would be Sivaji which he himself accepts-thats humility for you.

Social Worker-You have actors using fans for their benefits-some trying to gain political mileage out of it, some disbanding them in total-some converting them to welfare organs recently-He was one of the first to convert his fans associations to social welfare organizations, fans distribute things to poor and needy during his birthday and donate blood-many of them have pledged their eyes for donation-He stands as a prime example by donating his whole body for medical research-one of the first to do so.He stands up for many social causes- be it Petral Dan Pillaiya or AIDS awareness.Income Tax department announces his name in the list of people who file their returns every year-rarity among actors, he is also one of the highest tax payers in the country.He also regularly features in advts to woo people to vote during elections.Rajini and Kamal are the only bankable actors who refuse to star in commercials sponsoring products for money-very laudable when you have people endorsing from oil to soap.

Good Friend- people who watched Kamal-50 program would know how many friends he has earned in filmdom which is very tough.He has uplifted many a people through his movies.Kadhala Kadhala was a movie which was announced during FEFSI strike and film workers were without work and pay for long and he acted in the movie during that time.Karan was an actor who got uplifted by him.Nagesh always got the best of the roles in Kamal's movies-be it a dead man in "Magalir Matum" or villain in Aboorva Sagotharagal, Avinashi in MMKR or the recent role in Dasavatharam-Nagesh retorted-:he is proud of his last movie-I am honoured-da Kamal". Sivaji was an actor who was not used past his prime-Many wasted him in tiny roles and killed him in 10mins to make way for stardom-100% people would know what a role Sivaji had in Devar Magan.What a chemistry between him and Kamal.Now a days we have all talking about chemistry between dancers-There was live chemistry between both.Very few would invest the money they earned in movies only into movies-other few being Nassar,Prakash Raj.It is different when you have people opening marriage halls,educational institutes- it takes more than courage to invest the money you earn back into industry.Produces many of his high risk movies on his own under RKFI banner-Magalir Matum,MMKR,Kurudi Punal.Some were flops but that did not deter this crusader to do more.

• Highest number of movies nominated for Oscars
• Refused to list religion while enrolling his daughters
• Relishes Karimeen a kerala delicacy
• Loves banks of Rhine river in Germany
• Writes poetry well
• Recognized dance master
• Learnt workout secrets from MGR
• Keeps the letter KB wrote for him after 16 vayadinile as treasure
• Has a Hummer vehicle-very few in the country have

I know this is not an exhaustive list, but few out of the many I adore this fine human being named Kamal.

Why Do I love Kuchimitai?

All,

Why blog? I believe it is a means of communication to the outer world and space to vent my feelings and share news to people and also an attempt to hone my english skills

Why now? Honestly I did try making one sometime back which was a colossal failure

Why Kuchimitai? we all were kids at one point of time and would have been captivated by the big rosy( and sometimes green) colored cotton candy which was a treat to feast, like all of you I also loved that small difference being I still continue to love Kuchimitai- I love bmw as blog title would have got more hits but I love kuchimitai more than that and hence the title.

What in this? Honestly I dont have an answer right now, But both myself and you would know it soon, I want to make this blog primarily to share what I feel,read and want to share, perhaps educate and entertain as the by-products.
